What I Wore // Florals and a Floppy Hat

Morning my beauties! This post is one of those rare ones where I share a picture from my past. No, not that kind of past you sicko, I'm simply talking about old pictures of myself:) Scroll to the bottom to see a then and now comparison. Enjoy the pictures on the way!
hat - target
necklace - bcbgeneration
glasses - jlo
dress - vintage handmade
wedges - ae

This was so fun! My mother gave me this beautiful dress that her mother had made for her when she was young. I was only 13 or 14 years old at the time, and so didn't realize fully how lucky I was to be inheriting such a vintage treasure. Last week I pulled it out of my closet for a little run around town, and I was so happy at how well it fit so soon after having John. I dug through the ancient archives on my computer to find the only other picture of me wearing the dress, soon after I was given it. Fun to compare with the past and see how things change! (For one, I've certainly upgraded my camera:))
You should give it a try! What items of clothing do you still wear from your little teenage years?
xo, Emily

  18. I think I hate you. I don't have any kids, have only been married a year, and I've already gained 15 pounds and can't fit into anything that I wore last year! Skirts that used to be loose won't go past my thighs. Ergo, my newfound loathing. :P
