Lately it's been getting harder and harder to carry this little sweetie around in her portable carseat because she's extra heavy for her age and it's just extra awkward, so finally last week we tossed it out and traded it for a new car seat, and have been carrying her around in our arms everywhere ever since.
It's been sweeter really, because normally we'd have kept her in it for several more months so she could have naps on the go and such, but instead she has to nap on me if she's tired. oh darn:) It's great for body heat too on the colder days, I just tuck her under my coat a bit and we're toasty and warm together as we walk.

Well so hey there February, how'd you get here so fast!? Martin and I got back from Alt Summit on the 23rd and had a couple days of snuggly family bliss, followed by two solid days of organized work awesomeness, followed by like five straight days on our deathbeds with some hybrid cold + flu + ptosis mess. It really only affected Martin and I and little Evie, and we're all still not quite over it yet, but I'm keeping a close eye on her, and we should all be over this really soon.

Thanks so much for visiting and reading today, and if you've gotten this far will you PLEASE help me pick a new Netflix show to watch?? I'd really love to hear your thoughts, especially because if I can't make up my mind we're probably just going to start The Office again for like the 10th time.haha

Cheers loves,

  3. This might sound odd but Burn Notice is totally binge-worthy. It's got action but it's also funny and really interesting. All the seasons are on Netflix right now. And if you haven't already watched Kimmy Schmidt, it's ridiculous but hilarious.

  5. These are gorgeous photos, Emily!

Um, as for shows- this might be a little too 'little house on the prairie-ish' and believe me, I didn't think I would enjoy it so much, but there's a show on netflix called 'When Calls the Heart' and it's just feel-good entertainment- a drama mostly but nothing too heavy and dramatic as a lot of shows tend to be these days.

  9. If you like some mystery, romance and mythical creatures I can recommend you the Mortal Instruments. It's fast pacing and fun to watch. If you like som crime solving series then Ripper Street could be something or my all time favourite: Doctor Who! Always worth watching!

I hope you and your family feel better soon!

Narcos for what I heard it's awesome, and I loved Daredevil 1st season, and the second season it's almost here. :)

  14. I don't know if it's on Netflix but if you haven't watched Parks and Rec you HAVE TO!!! It's sooo funny. The first season isn't the best, but if you can get through it then you'll love the show:)

  17. Sounds like you like having your baby close to you, I do too! I often babywear using our Tula buckle carrier. I know you have been a fan of babywearing in the past when they were little, maybe a new buckle carrier could help you be hands free and cozy!

  20. Norway is under a "friendly" invasion by Russia to convince them to continue pumping oil. Norway has vowed to stop because of global warming. So good! A 10 part series from Norway. "Occupied"

  23. Beautiful pictures! I hope you guys are over the flu. I frequently carry our baby girl when we're outside and have a really comfy babywearing jacket (although this winter has been very mild here in Switzerland so far).
Sherlock and Doctor Who are always a good choice, but my husband and I are really addicted to Once Upon a Time. If you like a mix of fantasy and crime it's absolutely perfect!
    Best wishes!

  24. When Calls the Heart. I love it so much! It's got that nice mixture of romance, comedy, and drama to keep you entertained. Along with that is the fact that it's remarkably clean and doesn't take the drama too far ☺ .... I've maybe watched the first season 3 times.... Oh! And they just got the second season on Netflix, so there's even more reason to watch it 😉 .

  26. We re watch The Office basically every day! We are also rewatching Lost right now. I assume ya'll have already seen that but if not you must!! We've also been watching 24 for the first time since a new one is coming out this fall. Obvious favorites that you've probably already seen: my selfridge, idiot abroad, downtown abbey, upstairs downstairs(the newer one), Sherlock and Daredevil. :) let us know what ya'll end up watching! :)

  27. I just finished watching Halt and Catch Fire on Netflix and it was fantastic! It's about a (fictional) electronics company in the 80s developing a (fictional) portable computer, with lots of drama of course. My favorite part is that it had a good balance of both strong male and female characters, including 2 female characters who were also wickedly smart computer engineers.
