Weekend Wrap-up

This Week: marks the first week of January and the first week of the new year! This is always my favorite month for diving in and getting a jumpstart on living life to the fullest.
I know you're sick of hearing about my morning sickness, but I feel that I was a bit jipped these last couple months full of so many holidays because I felt so crummy for them. I LOVE blogging during the holidays normally but this year I missed out on sharing some of my favorite types of posts, I even slept through Black Friday and threw up through cyber Monday.haha (sorry tmi!) Its just been a really sad way to spend the holidays, but I was determined to jump in come January!
Don't get me wrong, we had a great Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Eve in spite of my sickness, and I'm really glad for the opportunity to get so low so I can better appreciate rising up again so to speak.haha And I have been feeling better lately! So here's to a brand new start, and thank you so much for continuing to support and encourage, and follow along!!

Weekly Snapshots:

To-do's and Goals for the Week:
- take the family on a little birthday trip
- find out the gender of the baby!
- start my crazy house cleaning plan
- do a photo shoot of the cat
- keep up my planner
- start a brand new book!
- get rid of this cold :(
- catch up on all the laundry
- make a phone call each day just because
- start on the parlor curtains
- build a snowman with the girls!
- start their chore charts
- shar my big special exciting surprise project;)
- go to bed earlier

A Few Facts:
  • I'm getting kicked in the belly by the baby as I type this, and even though this is the 5th time it never ever gets any less magical... Even after those feet reach your rib cage.haha
  • Lately I can't stand the noise in the car. Every time I turn it on the radio goes off and stays off:) I love driving in quiet. ... The kids are pretty quiet.haha
  • I'm looking for a new comedy tv show to start watching with Martin! We just finished the office again and we've watched parks and rec too, so any ideas along those lines would be great!!
  • Since I'd been reduced to eating such simple simple foods for the last few months, now that I can eat a bit more flavor again I keep forgetting to moderate and I go crazy.haha yesterday I made 6 slices of egg-in-the-hole and ate them all! Ugghhhh....
  • Tomorrow is my birthday, and I have a big secret I'm sharing!!
  • Also we could have found out the gender of the baby a few weeks ago, but since we use a midwife and have to go out of town for an ultrasound, that's happening tomorrow as well!! I can't wait to share!!
Something To Take Away:
12 months
52 weeks
360 days
8,760 hours
Make Them Count!!

I hope you have a great start to your new week, and avoid the Monday blues! Take care mah dears,

  3. Have you tried Arrested Development? I love the Office and Parks & Rec so I think we have the same taste in comedy. Psych is another one that keeps getting funnier. We've watched AD so many times and it never gets old!! 30 Rock too!

  4. hope you feel better soon, the holidays when you are not 100% always seem a little sad, still magical but sad. WE just never are able to get done what we really want to. Love how you always manage to still include fun activities with the kids on your goal list

  5. So glad you're feeling better! My boyfriend and I love watching a good comedy at night when we're winding down from the day and our favorite lately is 30 Rock. We are also watching The Office which I wasn't sure about at first (Michael is SO AWKWARD that it's painful) but now I love it and we also finished Parks and Rec. If you liked Parks and Rec, 30 Rock will be a hit too :) Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are comedic geniuses.

  8. Enlisted is very good, but sadly only one season before it was cancelled. Another fun one is Spy, which is a British comedy on Hulu that I made some people watch this weekend. My brother called it 'the Office with spies'. It's a pretty apt description. New Girl is also a lot of fun.
