Father's Day Gift Ideas | by emily meyers

Hey guys! I hope you've been having a great week so far and are looking forward to the upcoming weekend. We're still dealing with car trouble and so haven't been able to really go anywhere with the whole family if we can't walk there.haha But, it looks like Martin and I will be able to go on a day trip on Saturday which we haven't done in ages, so it's going to be full and fun for us! Really quick though I wanted to post a few ideas to help you brainstorm for those father's in your life that you may still be wanting a gift for:

Around Christmas and Father's Day I get quite a few emails and comments asking about choosing gifts for your guys, so I hope that this little list serves as some inspiration for you! I have both types of men in my life- the easy to shop for kind and the impossible to shop for ones, but I'm lucky (as I'm sure most of you are) that they're all the type of men that are easily pleased and gracious even if they wouldn't have bought the gift for themselves or just plain don't like all that much.haha 

Martin and I both see Father's and Mother's day as not a second Christmas or even a birthday where it's fun to spoil a bit with more presents, but more a time to give maybe 1 something that's well thought out or special and different in some way that maybe has to do with a personal joke or part of your history, something that's very pertinent to them in particular, or maybe an item that they've been wishing/wanting for a long time. 

Anyway's as I said I hope that this little list has gotten the cogs turning in order to help you find that perfect gift you've been looking for to tell the father's in your life how you love and appreciate them. Just keep in mind that it's the thought that counts, and don't forget to top your gift off with maybe a date out together or a game night in, something out of the ordinary that will really make the day feel special:)

  6. Hey, That's a really good idea! I didn't have any shoe boxes at home at the time and a bunch of kleenex boxes that hadn't been recycled yet. If I were to do this again I'd use a square sized shoe box if I could find one, it's probably more sturdy than a kleenex box as well. Thanks for your suggestion and comment ! :)Thank you so much!!!
