old fashioned letters and such

Hey loves. I know that I'm not alone in loving mail and receiving letters and packages, but one thing that I've always really loved as well is sending them out! It's thrilling to know that I'm offering that excitement and surprise that I enjoy so much to people I really care about. In fact one of my new years goals for 2014 was to write more snail mail letters because even though its becoming a distant memory to us all, I've really felt determined lately to keep the old fashioned ways alive:) I absolutely love love love the letters I receive from many of you with your words of support and appreciation or even just about your week and current goals etc, because it's a chance for me to learn things about you guys who already know so much about me! I also love responding too and putting up that little red flag on the mailbox, it's pretty heartwarming. so here's my proposition for you!...
...since you guys really are like my family (and without sounding too cheesy I seriously get all warm and fuzzy inside with all of the sweet and thoughtful things y'all share with me), I want to hear from all you guys! If you've been wishing you did more snail mail, let's help each other out. You send me a little note or post-card, whatever you want, and I'll send you somethin back! does that sound like a deal? :)

I've thought about how fun it would be to maybe have a video periodically on my YouTube channel and here on the blog where I show off the mail that's come in recently and what I'm sending out (I won't share your personal deets no worries:)), what do you think? I just feel like you guys are always so supportive and encouraging to me, always offering advice and motivation, and I really want to get to know you better and return the favor a bit if I can! The only thing that I'd really love is if you don't have a blog or any way I can look you up online, that you maybe include a picture of yourself or something so I can have you in my mind when I reply? Not a rule though! haha I'm happy no matter what:)

Well sorry about the novel, but I hope that maybe we can start being pen-pals or pick it back up again, and encourage each other in keeping up the 'old ways' a bit more! I'll try my hardest to reply to each of your letters and things, and maybe even send you little goodies here and there:) A huge thank you again to all those of you that have sent me letters in the past, you rock my world! :) Look at me and all these smiles in this post. Enough already!
haha okay I hope you have an awesome rest of your day, and see you back again here tomorrow little darlins!
xo, Emmy

P.S. In case you're interested in keeping up with my videos that won't necessarily be on the blog:) :

  6. This is so cute! I miss letters. I have so many from when my husband and I were first dating and he went away to military officer school, they mean a lot and are great to look back on;)

  9. You know, that's another thing I love about Christmas...all the Christmas letters! And what's even warmer is when they write my address and not create a label. That means they had to think about me for the minute they wrote my name. *warm & fuzzy*

  15. I'm in! My 2.5 year old daughter loves to take my phone and scroll through my Instagram...like a boss (seriously, how bright are these kids nowadays???). Well, I follow quite a few fashion bloggers and she likes to ooh and ahh at shoes and pretty clothes (I know... I'm in trouble). But your IG is her fave. She said so herself: "Oh mama dis one is my favorite!" She likes to see pictures of your kids, especially your two older girls. She always says, "Mama, I want play with the girls." So if you don't mind, I'd love to have her "write" to your girls.

  16. That's so fun! I really do mourn the loss of letter writing as a normal activity. It's much more fun to open than an email or text, and they are so much more personal I think.
