Thank you so much to the rest of you for all your support, and remember that I have shoe giveaway's often over here because they're my favorite, so be on the lookout!! This Week: Boy it's hard to start writing this post today! I edon't know where to start. It just feels like the week and a half since baby Lydia's been born have flown by and yet been so full to the brim because of all the strong emotions and feelings surrounding us. We've been in such a bubble with our little family and I am so under a love-spell with this perfect baby girl:) This last week I've really felt so much better and like I'm getting a handle on my body again, I've started taking on more house chores but with still plenty of R&R with the babies, we had a wonderful visit from my sister early in the week and had lots of good fun and good talks, I drove all four kiddies around in our new (to us) car all by myself for the first time and got a little overwhelmed haha, we had flooding in the basement, I started going nuts with goals and lists, and Martin and I had  sushi and movie date! We watched Ender's Game (really liked it) and the sushi was such a long awaited treat:)
Weekly Snapshots: chilly early morning sunshine // skinny newborn legs // a relaxing bread baking evening // the long awaited sushi date-night // a last little leaf clinging on // feeding the color obsession // the cutest little pouty face // a tasty and thoughtful treat // the reason I love Fall so much

To-do's and Goals for the Week:
- pack up the new baby bag
start a Christmas quilt
- make a pie
- take a million more pictures of Lydia
- sort the kids playroom
- finish off those few loads of laundry
- take a walk all by myself
- find my planner
- start a new book (recommendations anyone?)
- get myself and the sick kiddies better
- paint my toes for the first time in a few months
- dive into my inbox something fierce:)

A Few Facts:
  • I sometimes write things down on my to-do list that I completed unexpectedly, just so I can have the pleasure of checking them right off... tell me you do that? haha
  • I love pie. probably more than any other big dessert. What can I say? Its heaven.
  • I've always wanted to learn the violin and used to go to bed every night listening to a violin cassette when I was little, but now that Martin play's so beautifully I feel like I don't need to learn it,
  • Although I never could or would cut my hair, I still have short hair envy when I see a good pixie cut:)
Thanks so much for visiting, and I'll see you again tomorrow!!
xo, Emily

  7. Oooh! Sushi!!!

    Books eh?
Mystery/Fantasy/Intrigue: Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde (NOT the same as the notorious 50 Shades...this one was out first!) This is actually a post-apocalyptic story with a cast system based on Munsell's color system. VERY good!!! Very clever!
AutoBiography: A Little Bit Wicked by Kristen Chenowith or, Is Everyone having fun Without Me by Mindy Kaling. I thought both were funny.

    IDK though.
What types of books do you like? That makes recommendations easier. I used to work in a library, and it was fun recommending titles!
