Hey everyone! So I've been trying to re-evaluate my priorities a ton lately and really take control of my time and how its spent, and I've found myself moving certain things higher up on my to-do lists and schedules, and some things are getting knocked to the bottom and then some off the list all together, and it really feels great! Working on prioritizing more efficiently has really made me realize how much time goes wasted every day when I don't have time to waste. That leads me to my next thought which is ...
...I've always thought there was a huge glorification of being 'busy' everywhere these days (me included). People say almost proudly "we've just been SOOO busy lately." as an excuse, but then they say it in a depressive context like their lives aren't their own and someone just swooped in and took all their time away. I know that for a lot of people they are working multiple jobs and dealing with lots of kids schedules etc and really are on the move from morning to night, but primarily...

...we are the ones that fill up our own schedules! And lets face it, even the busiest ladies I know still find time to pin on Pinterest:) So from now on I'm really going to try when people ask how I've been doing to smile and say "We have kept ourselves so busy lately!" Because no one is in control of my day except me, and if my day was jam packed its because I filled it up, not anyone else. Thoughts??
Thanks so much for stopping by, and be sure and check back in tomorrow for something really exciting!
xo, Emmy

Love your maternity style, and the hair is so cute! It's true, we need to be more proactive about our schedules. I like the idea of keeping myself busy as opposed to being swept away by a rush of needless things, instead of making times for the important stuff!!
ReplyDeleteHey!! I have given your blog the "One Lovely Blog Award"! :) Love your blog!!
