So I don't know if you follow on Instagram, but I just posted a photo from my first workout since I started getting morning sickness! I had a few really tough months where I was basically eating bread and apple juice, and spent most of my days playing with the kids on or watching the kids play from the couch in the playroom.haha I got woken up from lots of naps when books or trains would hit me in the head, I got to know the inside of a particular mixing bowl really well, I had more sticker facials than I can count, and I memorized the themes to Sophia The First, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Daniel Tigers Neighborhood, Veggie tales, Thomas the Train, and on and on, so who can complain right? :)
At any rate I'm incredibly grateful that I'm pregnant with this little one and wouldn't have it any other way, but I really missed working out and the happy feelings and endorphin's that come when I can exercise often, and I'm so glad that I feel well enough to start going again! Today's first giveaway is definitely affected by that, in that I'll be giving away my favorite workout accessory of all time!!
I bought martin a black pair of these for Christmas because they had awesome reviews and I didn't really want to spring for the more popular brand, and he loved them! It all depends on what kind of mood or motivation I need so sometimes I will listen to the Today's Christian Hits Radio, Today's Hits Radio, 90's Pop Radio, 90's Alternative Radio, or my Five Finger Death Punch Radio. More often than not I need something that has power or is fast to keep me getting at it so I wind up choosing Five Finger Death Punch or Today's Hits. I'll use the rest for warm ups and cool downs.

ReplyDeleteI jog 2 miles every morning and do 30 mins of cardio every night after work. I worked very hard the past 6 months and lost 40lbs of baby weight that i've been carrying for years!! I stopped drinking soda completely, and started eating right, and making healthy choices. (Healthy doesn't mean no taste, I just had to get creative and become a cook. Which I enjoy!!) When I do my morning jogs and cardio sessions I like to listen to upbeat music, like club music!! If the music is upbeat and fun I seem to have a better run, or workout. Music is a big plus for me when I workout!

I used to be so intimidated by that section of the gym that I used to never venture further than the elliptical and treadmills! Thanks for the inspiration.
