Em's Easy Caramel Toffee Brownies

I'm just going to get right into it and not even wish you good morning or anything, because more than a 'good morning' you need to get to your kitchen and try this recipe! These brownies are so yummy and addicting, either you'll errect a statue in my honour or dred the day you ever saw this recipe.haha So incredibly fast and easy too... so easy in fact, that I actually put it in the name! Couldn't you just grab one off the screen right now and gobble it up?
In order to fully enjoy them you'll need to love toffee, chocolate, caramel or all of the above! Also you'll need to love gooey sweet brownies that are soft in the center, crisp on the outside, and have a chewy swirl of caramel throughout. Oh, and the soft crunch of english toffee bits with every bite. Make them. Now. You can come back and thank me later:)
Em's Easy Caramel Toffee Brownies
Ingredients:
  • 1 box brownie mix (and applicable for ingredients)
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 8oz bag heath toffee bits
  • 2/3 cup caramel sauce (approx. 20 caramels)
Method:
Combine together your brownie mixture and add it to a greased 9x13 pan. Sprinkle the brownie surface with ½ cup of the toffee bits. Melt your caramels (pronounced car-ra-mels, not car-mels people*wink*) in a double boiler, or microwave for 40 seconds stirring occasionally.
Gently blend together your melted caramel sauce and your can of sweetened condensed milk and pour evenly over the brownie batter. Swirl the top with a spoon for a marbling effect, and cover the top with another 1/2 cup of the toffee bits. Cook on 350 for 30-35 mins. Once out of the oven, sprinkle the remaining toffee evenly across the top, and let cool to set before cutting and serving. Enjoy with milk. Milk is a must here people.
*Tips: Make sure to mix together your caramels with the milk quickly after melting or your caramel sauce will harden again. Also try not to over marble/mix together your caramel sauce with your brownie batter, or you'll lose the caramel swirls throughout and be left with only flavor. Lastly, I prefer my brownies a bit doughy, if you do too then make sure and take them out at 30 mins. You won't regret it:)
Well that's all for today folks! I sincerely hope you give these a try and let me know what you think! I know that for me, I'll never make another batch of regular old brownies again, not so long as I have a bag of toffee bits on hand! haha Also feel free to pin and spread the delicious goodness, it'll make my day!
xo, Emily

P.S. Good morning anyways:)
