Our baby John {Infant Session}

{GIVEAWAY REMINDER: Don't forget to enter the Oscar De La Renta giveaway here!}
Last night was a self proclaimed 'date night' at home for Martin and I, meaning that after the girls went to bed it was a candlelit dinner for two, and a snuggly movie or two for the rest of the night. No computer, No work talk. There was a lot of baby talk however:) and we realized that in just two days our little newborn will turn a month old. A month. I was having mixed emotions about it really. A new mother's hormones are a funny thing becuse on one hand of course I'm excited and proud at the prospect of him growing up little by little and progressing, but as I held his tiny little body curled up on my chest and listened to his little contented purrings, I felt a sudden sadness at the thought of losing that teeny body to a big boy who doesn't want to be held and snuggled all day. They just change so fast don't they?I guess the solution is to live in the moment though right? As I said hormones are a funny thing because as I type this he's nestled on my chest, testing out his legs, and bumping his head up and down on my shoulder, grunting with the effort of it all...and I'm so proud:)
Here are a few several of his newborn portraits from when he was a few days old:
I hope you enjoyed them! Even if not quite as much as me:) Take care this coming weekend!
Xo, Emily
P.S. Birth story of how we welcomed our little John Robert coming up very soon!!
