What I Wore // five things

Wearing:
|  sunglasses - nasty gal (older)
|  blazer -  ross
|  necklace - h&m
|  white shirt - forever21
|  jeans - express (older)
|  heels - target
-----------------------------------------------------

1. Lately, I find myself either wearing the tiniest, most-miniscule-little-charm-on-the-daintiest-chain necklace, or one of these big collar necklaces that look like I'm wearing 20 necklaces at the same time. There is no middle ground.

2. You might think that I'd be immune to the bewitching powers of chubby baby rolls by now after having had four other nearly 10lb babies, but if you did you'd be wrong. Evie was 10lbs 14 ounces when she was born, and now at three months old is currently fitting into 9 month+ baby clothes. I can't even with her triple chins and ankle creases. She gets the blame for my unproductivity today.haha Pictures soon:)

3. Whenever you get the chance to curl up under the covers and watch Netflix, on a weekday afternoon, with forehead kisses and your family all around you, in the Fall, ...take it. Preferably followed up by warm muffins.
Can I get an amen:)

4. Just about every morning at around 3 or 4 am, we get pulled out of sleep by the slow squeeeeeeking of our door getting pushed open by John. He sometimes will attempt to 'wake us up' so he can climb in with us by scream whispering things like "hey! Dad-dy!" More often though he just quietly drags his big fuzzy blanket downstairs by a corner, so when I wake up in the morning to find him stretched out on the rug, it's trailing out the door and down the hall. It's a sweet memory that I want to keep.

5. Speaking of bedtime, I think I've resigned myself to the fact that I will never, ever feel 'caught up' on sleep. Is there really such a thing? Is it an urban legend? I tried to explain to my restless 4-year-old how much she'll appreciate sleep when she's older, but she just looked at me like I was speaking Chinese and said "mama you silly." I asked for sleep for Christmas. I'm tired. hahaha

Thanks for visiting loves,

  5. One of littles was over ten pounds when he was born as well, and even at 7 months I still can't get enough of his massive chunk thighs and roll-polly wrists *gush* Soaking those moments in is totally worth the loss of productivity in my book ;)

  6. That blazer, those heels, your hair! They are all perfection! It's nice to have found someone in the 10lb+ baby club, my boys were almost 11 pounds, they are pre-teens now, and are standing at over 6 feet already! It's great, they reach all the high shelves for me since I'm only 5'7 :D xx www.celebratingthislife.ca

  8. At first I thought the 5 things were what you wore (except there are 6) and was happy to find a bonus 5 things instead. :) Maybe you could post a list of Netflix movies that are family friendly but interesting for adults, too--I seem to have a hard time finding those. Looking forward to the chubby baby pics. We still call our 3 year old "Chub" though he has long lost his chubby cheeks and slimmed out. Gotta keep the memories alive. ;)

  9. We have a recliner in our room near our bed. A lot of nights (not quite "most" but more than "some") I will wake in the morning to find that sometimes my nearly 4 year old son at some point in the night has come to our room and fallen asleep in that chair. I think he realized if he woke me, I'd send him back to bed, but if he just curls up in that chair... ;) I long ago dubbed it "The Recliner Chronicles", as I have some sweet pictures of the positions I've woken to find him in in that chair. Sweet sweet childhood :)

  12. I love your necklace! And your entire look. Is there anything better than cuddling up in bed with your family for a Netflix date?

  13. I have a cat that decides to sing me the song of his people every hour on the hour for the past few months. :) Also little child scream whispering seems better than howls haha. You are a patient woman to do all of that and still joke about not having sleep!

  15. I only have one kid (so far) and I absolutely have not gotten good sleep since before I was pregnant with her, and I've just resigned to the fact that sleep will never be the same now that I am a parent!!!

  19. I LOVE your reflections. You're a lady, a sweet mama, and such a conversational writer. Your photos are lovely as well. :) "... beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord will be praised."
