Every year it seems like I'm given a reality check as Ellie turns another year older. Something about your oldest baby who still feels like your brand new baby really puts time in perspective. It's still kindof sinking in, heck I only put 3 candles on her birthday cake and my 5 year old nephew had to remind me.haha Since today is her special day, I thought Id' share some pictures we took of her this week and a little about the birthday girl.
Ellie is her nickname though she's 'Eleanor' when she's in trouble:) Every day just about she asks to to color, go outside and for juice. She's the most polite little person and always uses her manners when asking for anything. Even when she wants your attention she'll say "um, excuse me pwese?" haha She says other little adorable words like "fink"(think) and "titter"(tickle), and we're pretty sure she's adapted an overall British ascent from watching shows like Dr. Who, Harry Potter, Peter Rabbit, Wallace and Gromit, etc.
Ellie you are the one who helps keep me in line when I'm getting stressed out, your patience with me and everyone around you is amazing. You're so bright and so sweet, and helpful too! I still remember your birth like it was yesterday. You made me mommy for the first time. You turned me from a silly little girl into a silly big girl:) I'm so proud of you, I love you so much, and I hope you always know that.
Happy birthday to you my big little sweetheart.
As you can see already she really loves minnie mouse:) As her birthday got closer we started asking her what she wanted just out of curiosity, and though it changed a bit each time, she always asked for an ice-cream cake, a pony, a snake (wha?), and Santa Clause (because he has so many presents on his person I think).haha also the day of her party as I was getting ready she wanted some makeup so badly, so I broke down and put on a little mascara and also curled her hair which I've had fun doing lately. she was so proud in her ridiculously frilly minnie outfit:) it's amazing what little kids can get away with wearing isn't it?
jacket - gift (macy's) // minnie outfit - walmart // shoes - target
She's also a big flirt and gets really shy around adult men (as long as they don't have beards.haha) and tells them they can be her prince if they want, she makes new friends whereever she goes, she tells strangers in the grocery store that they are beautiful or have 'pwetty earrings' much to their delight, and last but not least she has an incredibly tender heart, and a keen sense of distress in others and always wants to help them feel better. That's probably my favorite thing about her, that and her flaming red hair!
Happy birthday to you my big little sweetheart.

I know what you mean by given a reality check every year. My son turned 4 this year in February and it was a shocker. I cannot believe how quickly time flies and how big & smart he has gotten. I am absolutely loving her dress. She looks just like a pretty little Minnie princess.
