Look guys! I made another video! Okay you wanna know the real story? I've made like half a dozen videos since the last one I posted, but I'm too much of a dang perfectionist to publish any of them because they were either Way too off color or Way too out of focus or Way too something or other. At any rate, I'm slowly but surely getting used to how things work with my camera and the lighting in my house and so on, and they'll only get better I promise! So my goal is to post a video at LEAST once a week from now on, if not twice a week or more because I am overflowing with ideas for videos:) To start this week off (do you start your week on Sunday? me neither, but we'll just go with it for now:)) I'm doing my January Favorites! and a few unfortunates.haha (sorry again for the seriously wonky lighting. Working on it! :))
Thanks so much for watching, and I'll see you back again here soon!
xo, Emily
P.S. I'm going to start publishing videos on YouTube much more often and will only use them in blog posts once in a while from now on, so be sure and subscribe so you don't miss out on any of my future videos! xoxo
(UPDATE: If you're looking for a product list, click through to YouTube and you'll find each item that I mention listed with links in the description box! :))
I'm really excited about starting monthly favorites videos because I feel like it's a great way to give you a little bulk batch of items that I'm currently loving and using, and in the case of today's video, things that I'm a little frustrated with as well. There's really no rhyme or reason to the items I mentioned, just about all of them are beauty related though, so be sure and let me know what type of product's/reviews,etc you're looking to see and I'll keep that in mind for February!

Could you make a list of your favorite January Products and Links?!? That would be wonderful!
ReplyDeleteoh no problem, just follow the link to YouTube and all the items are linked in the description box! Thanks so much for watching:)
Delete"Not that there's anything wrong with pie..!" Hahahaha, love that. I also love pie, but I HATE smelling like food - so I totally get what you're saying!
ReplyDeletehaha You understand! Some of those scents are a little nauseating.haha Oh! Random, but my husband knows I love candles, and baking bread... so he bought me like 10 discount candles that are supposed to smell like baked bread, and they're awful! haha they actually remind me of mouse smell.haha sweet guy though, it was the thought that counts:)
Delete"Not that there's anything wrong with pie!" Haha, I love that! I really enjoy pie, but I don't like smelling like food, so I get what you're saying.
ReplyDeleteI am so sad you don't like the Neutrgena wipes - they are my favorite! I have had them dry out before too though, it helps if you buy one pack from the drug store and then keep the pack in that little blue box!

aw I think they must have just been a little old or something, because like I said normally I really love neutrogena products and so was really surprised at them. That's wise about the box though, I'll have to try that next time!

A list below the video of the products that you mention would be super helpful! (that way when I forget the name, I don't have to skip around the video again to try and find it!)
ReplyDeletesorry this comment has come so late, but there's a full list of the products with links in the description box of the video on YouTube! I hope it's helpful:) Thanks so much for watching love!

You should look up bang in a box -- they have tons of colors and are great quality! :) I'm a stylist and they have many colors to choose from... but they are straight across fringe. Also - love love the EOS lip balms. :)
ReplyDeleteoh thank you so much! Would you mind giving me a link or something? I tried looking them up but can't find them anywhere:( I'm really interested!
DeleteThanks so much for your comment too, I really appreciate it:)
Great vid, thanks for sharing your favorites, and not so favorites with us. It's a real bummer about the Neutrogena wipes. They're the ones I use, and I actually find them to be quite oily. But, it has happened once or twice that they've dried up on me. It really sucks that you got a bad batch. I heard you mention the Aveeno wipes, and I think I'm gonna try those out. Just to see what else is out there. Nahi, xo
ReplyDeleteno problem! You know I broke down and bought the aveeno wipes again and they're awesome.haha smell awesome, feel awesome, I hope you like them! I should go check the exact type but they're in a blush peachy ouch and they're like 'fresh scent' or something... not helpful at all.haha Thanks for your comment!

ReplyDeleteHow to fix the Sigma Brush holder, and close the lid:
ReplyDeletePut the brushes, head first, into the lid. Start with largest brushes, leaving the smaller ones for last. Then the box should close easier.
oh that's a great idea! Thanks for passing that on!

I'm new to the EOS party too! My favorites are the red one (summer fruit) and the light purple (passion fruit). :)
ReplyDeleteHey, love you by the way, is there any way you can list somewhere all the product names and such just somewhere by the video. Also, thought I should let you know in case you were unaware, that you have an audience of all ages. I'm in High School and you’re my favorite blog :) Lastly, I would love to see some make-up tutorials; yours always seems flawless.
ReplyDeleteno problem Hannah! I actually have all the items listed in order with links in the description box of the video if you click through to YouTube! Also thank you so much for letting me know your age and that you're supportive, you totally made my day!! I'll be happy to get some makeup tutorials on here asap, just for you:)

That is crazy about the Neutrogena wipes... I actually dislike them as well but it is because mine feel super greasy! When I use them my face feels so gross!!
ReplyDeletehaha that's so bizarre! You know though I do feel an odd oily residue after using them after I've wet them under the faucet, so I always have to wash my face afterwards because of the oil, so I totally see that if they weren't dried out they might be an oily mess! haha
DeleteThanks for your comment lady!

I'm a faithful reader/follower and I know I don't comment nearly enough but I loved your video. It's great to hear your opinions on what works for you and it gives me some great ideas since I'm not really beauty savy! Thanks for sharing I can't wait for more.

DeleteI am wondering if you have a heat serum that you love for your hair!
ReplyDeleteYes! I have a couple I've used, but my favorite is the tresemme thermal heat protectant, here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/TRESemme-Thermal-Creations-Tamer-Protective/dp/B000H88QOM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1392984953&sr=8-1&keywords=heat+serum
DeleteHope that helps! :)
You are just lovely and hilarious and I have sincerely loved stalking your blog, IG, and Pinterest. I think we have a lot of the same interests, too and I wish you lived in the Provo area! Only big difference between us that I can see is that I am horrible with fashion (well, I've never really made an effort) and styling hair. But yay, I finally have a little daughter (she's only 6 months but she'll grow up:) to practice on! Anyway, I love this and you have to be the prettiest "red-heard" (auburn-head?) I've ever seen. Plus, you are a champ for having four littles close together! I want 7 (hopefully by 30?) and am impatient to have them all already. Anyway, you're awesome.

oh thank you so much! I love Provo and try to visit as often as I can:) I just stalked your blog a bunch and I gotta say you have the most striking eyes ever! Also your little lady is freakin adorable:) Thanks so much for your visit and comment, and I hope you have a great rest of your week, keep in touch!
