July '13 Mixed Tape

Hey everyone! So I'm pretty excited today, because not only am I doing this months mixed tape today (when its been months), but I'm changing things up! I don't know if you're familiar with this feature but basically music is a huge huge love and passion, and I've loved sharing favorites of mine with you on the blog every month in the form of old fashioned 'mixed tapes' like we used to make growing up.
I used to list them in a row with side A and side B, then each name would direct you to You-tube which was messy and obnoxious. because sometimes the videos were funky etc, and besides who wants to be directed all over the internet anyways. So this month I decided to use a playlist in the hopes that it'll make it easier to actually listen, and maybe you'll find a new favorite or at least enjoy some old ones!
Its always hard to narrow in on just 15 songs (7 for side A, 8 for side B:)), but July so far has been about striving for calm and quiet, working towards routines, and closing my eyes once a while in the shade and this playlist reflects that I think:) Happy Listening!
And that's all folks! Music is really playing none stop around here and I have so many favorites in every genre, and am always looking for more! If you have a favorite song or album that you think I'd enjoy, please share! and if you're interested in seeing past mixes here on The Freckled Fox, click here.
Hope you have a great week ahead!
xoxo, Emily
P.S. Google Reader (GFC) is basically gone, so if you wanna keep up don't forget to...

  1. This is a really cute post! I loved mixed tapes growing up. I lived and still do off of music! I decided for Tuesdays for my music link up.
I like Coldplay, The Lumineers, and Jack Johnson. :)

  2. Mixed tapes were so fun to make! Trying to start at just the right time so you didn't get the radio DJ's voice. I love this post idea, very creative!
