One year older and wiser too...

In case I didn't make it clear enough for the last few weeks, Saturday was my birthday! While I don't have the same giddiness that may have come on my birthday when I was a kid, there is a whole new level of excitement that comes with birthdays. For one, I can party harder now that I am an adult:) Especially when I get two days with just my hubby in a far away city, to spend however we please(which was a total blast by the way, which you also saw if you follow on instagram:)).
I decided that even though everyday here on my blog is about me and my life in some way, I still wanted to take today to tell you a few random things about myself that you may not know! Here it is:
You may not know...
...that I can run pretty well on very little sleep, and that lots of my work nights keep me up till 4am+,
...that I can't now, and have never been able to snap my fingers,
...that I turn very calm in stressful situations, and I take it as a challenge to relax and calm others down in those same situations,
...that I love anything with peanut butter, and that I could finish off a batch of fudge if left alone wth it,
...that I love long walks to the park every afternoon in the summertime,
You may not know that turning on a song with a good strong beat and rolling the windows down is a huge anxiety reliever for me,
...that I wrote short stories as a child, and now feel great fulfillment in being married to an author,
...that my superhuman moments have been having my babies naturally, and at home,
You may not know that I have mild ocd when it comes to symmetry and organization, but
I have a hard time keeping a tidy closet,
...that no matter how small, spiders will always make me freak out more than anything else,
...that I have very long legs, which probably make up 2/3 of my total height,
...that blogging is one of the most satisfying ways to spend my time,
...that I'm really not a soda drinker, but I've always had a soft spot for a good cream soda,
...that if I had a million dollars, the only thing I would change about my lifestyle would be to travel the world with my family,
...that my most common favorite color to wear is black,
...that my biggest annoyance is messy bed sheets before bed,
You may not know that I love to sing, and that I'd almost always rather be home with my family than anywhere else.

Thanks for stoppin by today lovely! I hope you have a fun and eventful Tuesday:)
xoxo, Em

  10. Happy birthday! In a lot of ways we are very similar, I too function really well on very little sleep (most people are amazed at how I can go for so long on so little rest, I have MS too which makes it even more strange, I was just born a person with really high energy so the MS has actually been good for those around me, in some twisted way, as it has brought me down to their level, I regularly had people tell me I exhausted them before the MS decided to come along, we have to laugh at these things I suppose haha) and also I am always the calmest person in any situation helping everyone else to be calm and my legs are super long for my height too :)I really enjoyed reading this, thanks for sharing!

  17. Happy birthday! I wish I could run on little sleep. If I don't get 7-8 hours you do not want to be around me.
