Thanksgiving Dinner: Recipe Edition

Morning ladies, and possibly gents:) Lately I've come to to terms with the fact that time isn't what it used to be. It used to curl up with me in a chair and a good book and sit for hours, or sit on a stool in the kitchen while I wiled away the hours cooking culinary confections to my hearts content. Now time has a habit of escaping out the door when we least expect it too, and it can be so hard to track down again! I am sure many of you feel the same way, so in order to help out with the cramming-at-the-last-minute that Thanksgiving can mean sometimes, I've put together a list with the top 10 key components to a typical classic Thanksgiving Dinner! I've listed them in no real sort of order, but with a link to the source and recipe under each photo. Ready to get over-excited about Thanksgiving day and feel your mouth water in anticipation? Lets get started!

I can feel the treadmill beneath my feet even as I type this. haha Worth it though:) I've always loved the mashed poateos the most since I was a little girl. Which part of the meal is your favorite? How do you do the Thanksgiving meal differently? I'd love to hear!
Take care today ladies,
xo, Emily

  3. I'm so looking forward to Thanksgiving. I'll need to hit the gym afterwards. haha. What I like most is eating the bacon off the turkey that my mom places on top. So yum! :)

  4. Great post! I'm sure it will help lots of Thanksgiving hostesses out there. Last time I made something for Thanksgiving I made a sweet potato casserole. I've also made pumpkin pie which I think is sort of a staple for Thanksgiving. Cranberry sauce always reminds me of my grandfather. haha. - Carla

  8. Um, yeah, I think I just gained like 12 pounds just by looking at these pictures, haha. Mashed potatoes are my absolute favorite! I also am guilty of making rice-a-roni as another side dish. And as for dessert, I'm not satisfied with just pumpkin pie: I ALWAYS have to make something with chocolate :)

  9. For Thanksgiving at my house, we have a turkey, prime rib, sometimes also a ham, broccoli and cauliflower with Bearnaise sauce, and most of what you listed except we have baked sweet potatoes instead of sweet potato casserole and we also have baked potatoes in addition to mashed potatoes. Yes, my family eats a LOT on Thanksgiving =). My favorite parts are the prime rib and mashed potatoes! I can't wait for Thanksgiving!

Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
