Hey little Fall, you're almost here! I've been looking forward to Autumn since winter started last year:) Here come the cool summer nights wrapped in Indian print wools, with a cup of warm tea in your hand and a hippie braid around your head:) It is the life.
This hair tutorial is here upon request from a reader who was seeing this look on a lot of celebrities lately, and wanted to know how best to go about mastering it! The catch was that she feels she has a bigger head and doesn't want to accentuate it by pulling her hair tight. So here today is my take on the popular hippie head-band hair-do, with a half-way twist to it! :)
So have fun, and no fear! Cuz it's just as easy and effortless to achieve as it looks in the end:)
Supplies needed:
- Bobby pins
- Hair-tie
Method:
Step 1: Start with wavy, 'day old' hair that will have grip and texture. Grab a 2 1/2 inch circle section from right behind and above your left ear. Swing the rest of your hair over your head and out of the way, and braid your section tightly to the end. Tie off with a hairtie.
Step 2: Let your hair fall back into place, and choose whatever part you wish (center is most common with this boho style). Divide the hair above your opposite ear, pull your braid across your fore-head, over the first section and inside the part you just made. Secure to your scalp with a few bobby pins, and fluff your hair as desired! Done, and done!
At this point you can choose to leave your hair long and flowy, or twist it all up into a low bun for a different look all together. Either way is fine with me!
Thanks so much for stopping by today everyone! We're off to the fair today, so you can expect some pictures this weekend! One of my favorite parts about August:)
Have a terrific Wednesday!
xo, Emily

ReplyDeleteI got separated from my family when I when I entered my teenage because of the marital dispute between my parents, which taught me to be strong and behave in a balanced manner, to overcome the distressed situation. Gradually, I became a jolly person and even now, I like living like the hippies during the holidays, as it helps getting rid of the unnecessary stress and stay positive in the adverse conditions.
