Hey there everyone! Thanks for stoppin' by today! I'm excited for the post today, because I'm going to break down the simple braided headband style for you:)
This is an easy and great way to spruce up your every-day hair down look. It also works perfectly with straight hair or curly, long hair or short (about to your shoulders:)) so perfect for you!
It almost is so easy that I really don't need to break it down, but some people are very visual learners, and besides I got a request for this one, so there:)
Supplies used:
Tease your hair a bit in the back for more volume if you like, straighten a little, or finish off with a few freshly curled locks, and you're good to go!!
xo, Emily
P.S. Beatrice gave it a try!
- bobby pins.
Step 1. Draw a line with your finger upwards right above your ear and split your hair in half. Take a chunk of hair in a circle about as thick as you want your braid to be from just behind your ear and braid it up!
Step 2. Pull the braid over to the other side of your head and secure right above your ear with a bobby pin or two. Repeat the process in step 1 on the other side of your head, remembering to take the clump of hair from behind your ear, laying it next to the other braid as you pin it on the other side of your head.Tease your hair a bit in the back for more volume if you like, straighten a little, or finish off with a few freshly curled locks, and you're good to go!!
At this point you could also pull your locks back in a loose bun or ponytail, just remember to swoop the hair in front of your ears over the top of where your braids begin, so as not to ruin the effect! haha
Have a fantastic day everyone! and as usual, feel free to let me know if you decide to use this anytime because I love to hear feedback!!xo, Emily
P.S. Beatrice gave it a try!

ReplyDeleteI think I just found my hair solution for my brothers wedding! And incidentally it's with a yellow dress, not far from your color of the month...mustard! Looks so easy, love it!
ReplyDeleteI love all your hairstyles, but I'm curious. Is there a way to make them work if you don't have bangs? I had bangs that are mostly grown out now, so they're an awkward length, and I don't know what to do with them for these styles!
ReplyDeleteHey Unknown:) THank you for your question and sweet compliments! My bangs grow out really fast, so I' always switching hairstyles to suit however long my bangs may be at the moment.
ReplyDeleteWhile some of these hairstyles may seem to need bangs, all you would need to do is take the chunk of hair above your eyebrows (that you would cut if you were getting bangs) and swag it from a dramatic side part over to the other side of your head! This will give the illusion of bangs without going all the way:)
Does that make sense? Maybe I Should just have a tutorial on this soon:) It may come across better being able to see it rather than read it, what do you think?
This is so cute! I'm going to have to try this tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteGreat tutorial!
