Ems easy berry smoothie

I hope everyone has had a wonderful new years holiday! This is the easiest and yummiest berry smoothie i've ever had, so creamy and smooth aswell. We have it here at the meyers roost as often as we can. Even in this cold weather, because i think chilly treats taste almost better when you're wrapped up in fuzzy socks and jammies. So here you go! 

Ems Easy Berry Smoothie
Prep time: approx. 5 mins. Yield: 2 large smoothies

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • tablespoon lemon juice
  • teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup vanilla or plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 3 cups frozen mixed berries
  • 1/4 cup soy protein powder (optional)
Method:
  1. Fill blender about 1/3 with milk. Add the lemon juice, vanilla, as well as about 3/4 to 1 C of the yogurt, sugar, protein powder (if you're like my hubby) and about two cups of the frozen mixed berries. Blend till smooth.   
Remember to add extra ingredients to taste! I've found that every time i make this treat i change up the ingredient amounts just a bit in any direction, so be sure to taste it before helping yourself and see if you want it a bit tangier or sweet etc.  Enjoy!
