Weekend Wrap-up

This Week: We've somehow gotten nearly to the end of July without noticing it? Where has the Summer gone?! Don't get me wrong, I mean the 100+ degree weather every day has us spending time in the shade and retreating to the city pool and lakes whenever we get the chance, and I love Fall so much and can't really wait for it to be here officially, but I want to live it up for the rest of the Summer and not let it pass by without creating a few more memories to remember in the Winter. As for other news Lydia is crawling forward finally (and with a vengeance I might add), we finally made it to the Farmer's Market, Martin and I had a date and left the house without any agenda at all (the best), I think I finally finished John's room (tour coming soon!), and we picked apricots as the sun set, and then in the dark.haha
To-do's and Goals for the Week:
- finally get caught up on my laundry folding (is that even possible?)
- get the girls shelves painted
- put the doors on the woodshed
- publish two videos (woot woot! any requests? *wink*)
- cover the couch cousions
- start a new show
- bottle the apricots
- get a hair trim
- keep the flower garden alive in this heat
- take the kids to the park every day
- take a nap at least twice
- teach myself to knit (hooray!)

A Few Facts:

  • I may or may not be drinking a cup of Starbucks salted caramel hot chocolate as I type this
  • I can't snap my fingers. Who can't snap their fingers? haha even Ellie can, and she loves snapping them in my face.haha
  • I got my first set of almond nails this week, and now I give the best back and head rubs in the whole world. ask martin:)
Something Awesome for today: getting that parking spot right next to the door, and hitting green lights all the way home,

Thanks for visiting!

  4. Knitting is the best! I love having something to do with my hands, and the fact that I get to make beautiful things is a bonus!

Have you heard of Ravelry? It's a free site for knitters, sort of like Facebook for knitters or crocheters, but it's way more than that. They have a database of patterns, and thousands are available for free. There are also a lot of very helpful people if you're having trouble with something. If you join I'm katherinelynn04 over there.

  6. Hey, this is random but I was wondering if you could try to post your youtube videos on your blog a little more. I am subscribed on youtube but I so rarely go there. That's definitely laziness on my part but maybe if you even just included a link so we could go right to them from your blog.

    You're gorgeous. And wonderful.

  7. I also can't snap my fingers! I have been made fun of it my whole life and I can't tell you how many people have tried to teach me, these fingers just won't do that. Thanks for making me feel like I am not the only one in the world.

  8. I can't snap my fingers either. I actually hate admitting that to people because they always seem to think that they'll be the person that will be able to teach me. Like I haven't spent the last 20+ years of my life trying!
