Hair Tutorial // Braided Bun

{GIVEAWAY REMINDER: Don't forget to visit the post here to enter! It ends tonight!!}
I'm super excited to show you this hairstyle today because not only is it really fast and easy, but it looks a lot more complicated than it really is, which of course is a good thing!
My favorite thing about this style I think is that I can have fresh hair or 'old' hair *snicker*, curled hair or straightened hair and it really doesn't make a huge difference! Hopefully this can be as much of a quick go-to for you as it is for me:)Supplies Used:
  • Volumizing Hairspray
  • Basic Braiding Knowledge:)
  • Hairbrush
  • Bobby Pins
Step 1: Spray your hair a bit to give it some texture if you need, and devide your hair into three ponies at the nape of your neck.
Step 2: Fluff your hair a bit to give your style more body and volume by tugging some hair gently out of your ponies here and there over your scalp.Step 3: Braid all three of them loosly so you get as much length and thickness as you can, making sure to spray with hairspray here and there so your flyaway's don't go crazy on you:)
Step 4: Starting with the middle braid, hold onto the hairtie and begin to wrap the braid in a circle 'princess leah' style to make a little cinnamon roll or honey bun at the nape of your neck. Are my examples helping you at all? haha Pin around the bun 4-6 times to secure a good hold.Step 5: Proceed to do the same with your other two braids till you have three cute little braided buns in a row! (See how I came up with the name? it was hard...) Check the back in a mirror and use a few bobby pins to connect your buns if you need so there aren't huge gaps between them. Spritze with a little more hairspray, and you're done!Once again, If you find the back of your hair to be a little frizzy or unkempt (ahem) when checking it in a mirror, use a comb to fine-tune the back a bit.Be sure and ask if you have any questions about this hairstyle or requests for future hair tutorials. Also let me know if you decide to give this a try! I'd love to hear!

Have a lovely lovely day!!

xo, Emily
