Here's to lazy Saturday afternoons, family Costco runs, fresh batches of garden produce, and the chance for a date tonight! I hope you've been having a good weekend so far:)
Martin and I decided after I announced on my blog and everywhere else that we wanted/needed to film a video together sharing his diagnosis with my YouTube Channel, since it can be so separate from other social media branches. I just knew that like with my blog, once things had changed so much, I would have a hard time being able to film hair tutorials or weekend vlogs, etc without addressing it, but it just took us a little longer than we thought to finally feel up to making it. So here it is! A brief history for those that hadn't heard the news at all, and also an update to where we are now for all you sweet folks that have been inquiring as to how he's been feeling, etc:
As I said I hope that we were able to answer some of your questions, and also that it was clear enough info for you:) Feel free to leave any more questions you may have below since we really rushed over it all and left lots of holes.
As always, I can't thank you guys enough for continuing to send thoughts and prayers our way every single day! I spoke about that all in the past tense in the video, but it's very much still a support and encouragement 24/7. And now that that's done I feel like I can really get back to posting regularly again! It's a good day:)

You two are as cute in "person" as I imagined. Congratulations on your new addition. She is beautiful, you two sure do make some pretty babies! I hope the treatments go well and I'm constantly praying for your family. You certainly don't owe the social media crowd an update, but it makes me happy to see you two smiling together. Your story stays with me quite a bit.

ReplyDeleteThank you for the update! Agreed with the comment above that you guys certainly don't owe "us" (social media) any news but I'm not gonna lie, I've been checking almost everyday to see if there was some. So thankful for you guys' sweet spirits. Praying for healing. Praying for clean scans. And quick destruction of all the cancer cells!! (Haha, sounds terrible. But it's true!! That's what we want! In the name of Jesus, Father wipe out that cancer!!) thankful you guys are enjoying all your time together & with your kiddos!

ReplyDeleteAgree with TheMosby, you certainly don't owe us an update, but I'm so thankful you did post this sweet video. Have been checking in almost daily to your blog and Instagram to see how things were going with your family. I loved what you said about focusing on the positive and spending time together. In reality, none of us are guaranteed anything in this life. It could be over in a heartbeat for any one of us. In my opinion, there is something so beautiful about realizing that and making every moment count with those we love. Life life to the fullest, never let the words "I love you" go without being said, hug and kiss lots, laugh and play... Make amazing memories that your children will cherish. You and your sweet family are so very blessed to have each other. It's sweet watching you and Martin and your precious five babies. We are continuing to lift you all in prayers! Thank you for the update.
ReplyDeleteYou and Martin are so brave to share your journey with us. No apologies are required. You are an incredible person and so is your husband. Your family is in my prayers!!

ReplyDeleteI know I'm super late with this, but I've been going over and over what you said here since you posted it. It meant a lot to me to see you guys in person together (well not really, but you know--on vid, hehe) and I just wanted to say thanks for doing the video. I don't know you in person, but you both really matter a lot to me. Praying for you, and I just want to say that somehow, things will be ok!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear a good update!!
ReplyDeleteHoping things continue going well and improving. I wonder if you have heard anything about using baking soda for cancer. Here is a link that might prove interesting. I think natural options are often not explored by doctors because there isn't any money behind it. Prayers coming your way that all will go well! http://www.healthfreedoms.org/stage-4-cancer-gone-with-baking-soda-treatment/
ReplyDeletePlease please read these articles. it is from Dr. Evangelos Michelakis, a professor at the University of Alberta department of medicine in Canada. hopefully it helps! information is always good. god bless.
