and the babies name is...

Hey there you all:) I'm taking a little break from the baby-moon today because I'd love to introduce you to our little man:

John Robert

It's still sinking in that he's ours. We have a son! There are so many things I wish I could type right now to share a small amount of the love high that we've been going through these past four days, but I just don't have the words to accurately describe it. It's felt like only a few moments since the birth, and then it feels like weeks, especially when we look at our big/little boy and see so much wisdom in his eyes. 

We've all four of us loved getting to know our little John these past few days- his soft coos, his gruff little grunts, his sweet drunken smile after a feeding, the way his scrawny froggy legs tuck into his chest, or how all five of his tiny fingers clasp tightly around my smallest one when I'm holding him close. 

I can't wait to see what each new day will hold with our new family. Like yesterday's excitement, when he kept his eyes open and stared at us for 10 whole minutes with those deep blue that melt us like butter. This is the happiest we have ever been, and its oh so exciting to know that it will just get so much better all the time.
