SMOOTHIE SUNDAY | Blueberry superfood

Happy Sunday! This recipe is actually one that I typed in the notes on my phone when I made it for the first time because I was so so good, and I wanted to be able to make it again exactly. Well, I did make it again, and again, and about 10 more times after that:) Each time I may add in little bonus things that may be hanging around, for extra nutrition or flavor, but it's definitely the most popular smoothie just like this.
The reason that this is the household favorite is for sure because it's jammed with so much spinach while at the same time the yogurt and blueberries make it so smooth and sweet, that the kids think they're drinking Dairy Queen or something? haha I like to think that our kids are pretty good at eating healthy food, but they're still much more easily convinced to eat veggies when in smoothie form. I'm sure I'm not alone! haha A big glass of this definitely serves as a little meal for me, because- especially with the Pro Spinach powder and the protein powder, it's really so filling. Enjoy!

Blueberry Superfood Smoothie
1 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
3 handfuls of fresh spinach (approx half your blender)
2 heaping scoops vanilla protein powder
2 tbsp wheat germ
2 tbsp flax seed
1 big dollop (heaping spoonful) of greek yogurt
1 handful of ice cubes
1 1/2 cups pure organic coconut water
Add all the ingredients to your blender in order listed, and blend till silky smooth; usually about 10-15 seconds in total. Easy! Also, this recipe makes approximately two tall glasses and four small glasses worth:)

Tip: If your blender gets stuck or jammed, ...buy a Blendtec! haha in all seriousness, it happens to the best of us and pulling the ingredients away from the blades a bit and adding a little water or some more coconut water will fix it right away:)
Anyways, as usual I'd love to hear any favorite/unique ingredients that you'd suggest I try in a future smoothie, let me know if you have any questions at all and I'll answer them as fast as I can! Thanks so much for visiting, and have a great new week ahead.
